Every night, I stare up at the sky.

Wondering when the stars will embrace me.

Deep inside I know they never will.

In the back of my mind, I know I will outlive them.

They'll burn so bright, shining like no tomorrow.

Until the day comes where they burnout and fade away.

Even their echoes left behind will vanish.

I'll still be here though.

Looking up at the sky.

A sky no longer lit by countless specks of light.

Now forever covered in darkness.

Here I am still, staring into the darkness.

Staring into forever.
