Entry #36: I'm A Beast Of The Night (Poem?)

I'm a beast of the night, stalking you from behind.

My claws glimmer under the light of a thousand dead suns.

They ache to tear through flesh made weak through years of torment.

My sharpened teeth are like fangs, starved for damaged souls.

Wings weigh upon my back, carrying my horrific form through the sky.

My howls shake the foundations of the earth, uprooting trees with ease.

My skin is like armour, no blade you wield could ever pierce me.

I'm a beast of the night, I'll tear you limb from limb.

My teeth will grind your bones into dust.

I'll pull you unwillingly into the cold heavens above.

I'll pull you into my realm of suffering and loneliness.

I'll shatter your body upon the rocks below when I let you go.

I'll flay your flesh with my screams, bringing you to your knees.

You can't outrun me, I am faster than you.

You can't escape me, I am everywhere you go.

I'm a beast of the night.
