Tucked away and out of sight.

Smooth skin collecting dust.

Arms outstretched in search of light.

Finding only screws and rust.

Lungs void of air, waiting to breathe.

Forgotten corpse beneath the bed.

Fear building and beginning to seethe.

Companionship found with only the dead.

I try to crawl out from under with all my might.

But when I try, I am called heartless.

Here I remain, and out of sight.

Forever wrapped tightly in darkness
