Voices echoing one final time.

Soft lips give way to naked teeth.

Muscles fail as flesh decays.

Hearts lay still in eternal slumber.

Weakened lungs release the last breath.

Socket-less eyes staring into the unending night.

Fragmented minds shattered beyond repair.

Souls stalking skeletons with forgotten names.

Time swallows us whole.

Leaving nothing but scars upon derelict bones.

Forever never lasts.
