Entry #22: I Am Vapour (Poem)

I am vapour, gently fading.

Breathe me in, and I’ll cling inside.

Breathe me out, and I’ll never return.

I am vapour, flowing without form.

Reach for me, and I’ll slip through your arms.

Let me go, and you’ll realise you never had me.

I am vapour, spread thin across the wind.

Watch for me in the sky, and I’ll rain upon your skin.

Shut your eyes, and I’ll whisper goodbye.
